Biking Vacations in Medieval Southern Catalunya

Variety is the spice of life
Southern Catalunya is one of the truly beautiful parts of Catalunya and Spain with so much nature, history and culture. The area starts in Penedès wine country, just south of Barcelona city and extends south into the province of Tarragona, passing through more beautiful and peaceful wine country in the counties of Conca del Barbera, Priorat, Terra Alta and rounding off on the Mediterranean coast in the magnificent Ebro Delta.

Quiet safe roads, excellent surfaces, beautiful scenery
For most of your itinery you will not notice any other road users. Our visitors have been impressed by the respectful attitude of the few motorists they encounter. Excellent road surfaces, rolling countryside intersperced with challenging but not leg-braking climbs and an incredible diversity of stunning landscape make travelling from one county to the other a biker's delight.

Warm welcome, comfort accommodation
Our hotels and hosts have been chosen for their attention to detail, wonderful comfortable (large) beds and scrumptuous kitchen. Every evening you will be able to relax and enjoy comfortable bedrooms and inviting bathrooms. Accommodations will usually have swimming pools and a deck and special balconies to enjoy the atmosphere and scenery.

Wonderful food and wines
The Mediterranean diet is famous for its variety and quality of products, fresh seafood, abundant fruit and vegetables, poultry and game and of course wines. We have built a reputation introducing our visitors to the wines of Catalunya and you won't be disappointed. You will have plenty of opportunity to try the sensational sparkling wines of Penedès, the Rosé wines of La Conca and the world famous reds from Priorat and Montsant, often direct from the producer.

Popular Culture
You will be in the less populated and quiet end of Catalunya so don't expect too many fiestas, but inevitably on weekends there is a lot happening and we will advise you if your itinery and dates coincide with any of the local festivals.
